Movement for Therapists

_the gang celebrates.jpg

I hear from so many therapist friends and colleagues how hard it is to include movement in their day. This is true for me too!

Our work requires a lot of sitting, especially for telehealth sessions. And yet moving our bodies supports our well being and feels good.

This weekly group for therapists is a space to practice any kind of movement, stretching or dance - a time for your personal practice yet with the support of community.

Everything is optional, except for showing up! I will lead a brief meditation at the beginning

Areas that bring young people into my practice include:

• difficulties at home or in school

• parent divorce and separation

• sadness or worries

• losses within the family

• understanding a child's unique gifts and talents

• having another caring adult person in a child's life

• referrals from school counselors and family doctors

In addition to my practice, I previously worked as a School Therapist at St. Michael's School in Livermore and at Downtown High School in San Francisco.

Please feel free to contact me if you have questions or would like to schedule an appointment.
